Bonnet Alignment
|
|
Is my Exhaust Finished
|
Our top boot doesn't lift at all when released and when manually opened is prone to falling shut. Basically, the struts are not doing their job. Liz
Hi Liz, when you mean it's not straight do you mean the whole bonnet is to one side, ie bigger gap between it and the front wing? Or that the bonnet section nearest the window is not flush, at either\both sides, with the body part below the window? If the latter then it is the bonnet rubbers and you carefully (if they old they may break off) turn them to screw them in or out to raise or lower that section. Read more

Having problems with idling with my fig, it runs at approx 750-850rpm when engine cold, but after being on a run of approx 30 mins goes up to 1300rpm and will not return to normal. Have changed the lambda sensor but has made no difference, not sure what to do next, advice required.
Hi, it should run at more than 750-850 when cold more like around the 1200-1300 if the 'cold start valve' is working. when it's hot is the idle a constant 1300 or does it surge up and down - it may have an air leak somewhere on the induction side , there is a small pipe at the back of the manifold where the servo hose joins which should have a blanking plug on it which sometimes splits or falls off. 1st I'm a new owner am absolutely in love with my little fig! The thing is, I have a few issues. The main problem is my exhaust bumping about and pretty much scraping across the floor! I'm way to scared to drive him in this condition so I'm hoping for some help :) Any advice would be much appreciated. I've checked the boards and think I might need a new belly band, but I have searched and searched for one and don't know where i can get one.
Can you take some more pics of it from both sides and the front of it, with flash if possible.

ABOUT THE CLUB
|
Our Mission Statement "to provide comprehensive advice and information to both present and future owners (in addition to having lots of fun in the process) and to ensure these wonderful cars and their providence is preserved for the next generation of owners"
So how did the club start? My son 'Daniel' had always wanted a Figaro having seen the car at our local garage when he was just 16. After saving for a number of years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he at last brought an emerald green model in May 2008. Following the purchase we searched on the internet for a club in the hope we could attend events with other owners but were amazed that no club existed... So the Figaro Owners Club was born! We decided to build a website and forum which took 6 months and on the 1st March 2009 we pressed the publish button and waited to see if anyone wanted to join? Within a week we had 10 members, a month 35 and a year 478. Today the club has almost 1,600 members worldwide and our website is used by over 45 countries! Thanks to all our supporters and members for their support.
