6 YEARS ON
...
In April 2008 the club was born. From the start it was always our intention to publish comprehensive information and make it easily accessible to owners so we can keep these wonderful little cars on the road. With the addition of our mechanical and electrical data our website now includes over 300 pages of information.

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT
Last year was a record breaking year for the club with 492 new members. Our technical forum was busy too and now has over 2,000 members and almost 20,000 posts. And don't forget our Facebook fan page which also has nearly 1,000 followers. Finally the welcome addition of our new Figaro Trader website will help you buy and sell your items.

There is still lots to do but we think the future looking very good for the Figaro. So join me and lets raise a glass of bubbly to the next 6 years!

Top Boot Struts?
Broken Seal
Door Panel Removal
Our top boot doesn't lift at all when released and when manually opened is prone to falling shut. Basically, the struts are not doing their job. Has anyone used SHS

Yes I have. Good service and easy to remove and reattach the struts.

Has anyone got any advise? Since the weather has turned cold I've been getting horrendous amounts of condensation on the inside, particularly on the back window. To the extent that it won't clear by using the heaters and I have to wipe it with a cloth. Started getting bits of mould on the back seats due to it being so damp in there and me not using it everyday so the damp lingers for a few days at a time. Could this be down to a broken seal? Has anyone else had this problem?

Make sure your heater control is not set to recirculate and you are using the aircon (switch up) - this not only brings fresh air into the car but it also dries the air too.

1st turn is the side lights, (very small bulbs in front headlight) 2nd turn adds dipped beam bulbs in front headlight (normal driving head lights), Then pushing forward is full main beam in front headlight. Pull back to go back to dipped beam. You can also flash from dipped to full by pulling the stick back. Best try it against a wall and have a look. Also check on each turn the they are all working!

Argh!!! I'm trying to replace my old speakers with new clarion ones. The door panel wouldn't come off at the top but I worked round that problem. The new speakers don't fit the old holes. Clarion assured me I wouldn't need to drill New holes and I don't own a drill. Any advice? Even if I did drill New holes I don't think it would fit anyway! Help!

WE NEED YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS!
THIS IS YOUR CLUB and everyone is welcome to contribute in any way you feel. Why not...

Why we like to be different
Unlike other car clubs we don't have a large committee and more importantly we don't spend your money on bureaucratic pen pushers and administration staff.

"Our Mission Statement is to provide comprehensive advice and information to both present and future owners (in addition to having lots of fun in the process) and to ensure these wonderful cars and their providence is preserved for the next generation of owners"

So how did the club start?
My son 'Daniel' had always wanted a Figaro having seen the car at our local garage when he was just 16. After saving for a number of years (plus a small contribution from his mum and dad!) he at last brought an emerald green model in May 2008. Following the purchase we searched on the internet for a club in the hope we could attend events with other owners but were amazed that no club existed... So the Figaro Owners Club was born!
We decided to build a website and forum which took 6 months and on the 1st March 2009 we pressed the publish button and waited to see if anyone wanted to join? Within a week we had 10 members, a month 35 and a year 478. Today the club has almost 1,600 members worldwide and our website is used by over 45 countries!

Thanks to all our supporters and members for their support.

Warmest Regards
