The Joyce Foundation Makes A $1 Million Investment In UOIT Students
A major gift from The Joyce Foundation is making the dream of a post-secondary education a reality for University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) students. The $1 million donation will establish The Joyce Foundation Success Awards, supporting first-year students from Durham Region and Northumberland County who have demonstrated financial need. "The Joyce Foundation has demonstrated its commitment to improving the lives of Canadian youth time and time again," said Tim McTiernan, PhD, UOIT President. "This gift to University of Ontario Institute of Technology students will not only remove financial barriers to education, but empower them to develop into citizen leaders who will impact our society."
