Chamber is seeking 5 new Directors!
Director nominations are now open. Director nominations may be filed at the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce, 44 Richmond Street West, Oshawa, commencing from July 1, 2014 to October 31, 2014 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Directors will be elected for a three-year term, beginning January 1, 2015 ending December 31, 2017. All active members or member representatives in good standing are eligible to hold elected office.
Nomination papers and a Candidate's Guide are available from the C.E.O. & General Manager of the Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce. A signed consent to the nomination and a declaration of qualification by the candidate are required. Click here for more information.

It Pays To Network At The Fall Business Showcase
Congratulations to the winners at last night's Fall Business Showcase event held at the Quality Hotel & Conference Centre in Oshawa. All participants were entered into a draw to win a door prize from one of over 30 exhibitors displaying at the show. Residents Invited To Be Torchbearers At TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Games
The TORONTO 2015 Pan Am Torch Relay, presented by President's Choice, is coming to Oshawa next spring. Three-thousand torchbearers will proudly carry the flame and share its welcoming Pan Am spirit on the 41-day journey towards the lighting of the cauldron on July 10, 2015 to officially open the Games. Residents of Oshawa are invited to enter to be one of three-thousand torchbearers today at TORONTO2015.org/torch-relay, and to enter with the City of Oshawa to be selected as the Community Torchbearer at http://www.oshawa.ca/panam/join.asp. Oshawa's GM Centre Ranked First In Canada
The General Motors Centre has been recognized by Venues Today Magazine as first in its size category (5,001-10,000 capacity) with 107,348 patrons, attending 36 events, grossing $5,888,645. The exciting news comes as the General Motors Centre wraps up an event-filled 2014. The General Motors Centre has experienced an exciting 2014 leading up to this acknowledgement as they were the co-recipient of the Major Facility of the Year Award (under 8,000 capacity) at Canadian Music Week and ranked 85th in the world by Pollstar Magazine for their 2014 Mid-Year Worldwide Ticket Sales Report. The General Motors Centre also ranked among the top 100 venues for Venues Today Magazine's Social Media Power 100 list when they placed 8th for venues 5,001 to 10,000 capacity. Congratulations!
