Today at Spruce Point Inn...

Good morning. Wow! That was a quite a lot of rain yesterday. Clearing skies today with sun as the day progresses. High 72F. Winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.

The feature this evening is a 12oz Prime Rib. Chef says this is one of the best quality Prime Ribs he has seen. I agree and hope you get to enjoy this special treat.

Guests have been raving about The Lobster Trap Hauling trip which departs from Damariscotta. Site-see, hand-haul lobster traps and learn about the industry, visit an oyster farm, take a swim in a secluded cove, and crack some claws from the stern of your private charter boat. For reservations call 207-563-2709, 207-315-5182.

For your ready reference of things to do and see outside of Spruce Point, download the Inn's Mobile App. It's a helpful guide while on the go. App Store, Google Play.

Enjoy your day!

Savoring Spruce Point - Dining Reservations

Tonight's Beverage at Bogie's Lounge

Rob Roy + scotch, sweet vermouth, bitters

The Rob Roy is a cocktail created in 1894 by a bartender at the Waldorf Astoria New York. The drink was named in honor of the premiere of Rob Roy, an operetta by composer Reginald De Koven and lyricist Harry B. Smith loosely based upon Scottish folk hero Robert Roy MacGregor. The Rob Roy is similar to a Manhattan but is made exclusively with Scotch whisky, while the Manhattan is traditionally made with rye and today commonly made with bourbon or Canadian whisky.
