Greetings!

We're starting to savor spring here in Boothbay (even though we received a little bit of snow the other day). The sun is a little warmer, the birds are singing and we're happy to see the buckets on the maple trees because that means the sap is starting to rise and new growth will follow. New growth is evident here at the Inn, as well, with reservations for the summer coming in every day. Have you checked out our new packages yet?

The extra light at the end of the day means we can squeeze a few more projects in to prepare to welcome you in May. It - and you - will be here sooner than you think. Read on to learn what we've been doing to make your stay even better for producing those oceanside memories, made in Maine. And, you can watch the Inn open for the 2013 season by liking us our Facebook page. We regularly share images of our winter projects.

Best,

Joe and Ange

Spruce Point Inn partners on environmental issues with Boothbay Region Land Trust

We are very proud of the fact that we are a preferred lodging partner for the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden and we love to introduce our guests to the natural environment of Maine.

The Boothbay Region Land Trust now also recognized that environmental commitment and named us their hospitality conservation partner for 2013. The Land Trust looks for businesses that see conservation as their responsibility, and take active steps to advance conservation.

In an interview with the Boothbay Register, BRLT Executive Director Nick Ulillo said, "We were doing some research on green-focused lodging in the Boothbay region and Spruce Point Inn kept popping up to the top."

For more on our green initiatives, please visit the new Boothbay Region Land Trust page - and let us know if you have other suggestions for helping us protect all our beautiful places.

Customer satisfaction is all in the details

Back in November, with a goal of focusing our service efforts on delivering individual, customized attention to you, our guest, we engaged Judy King from QMS Results to assist us in the process of revising our Strategic Service Plan.

Judy King, ISHC

Judy has helped us form new foundations of quality management. Through

redefining our standards, steps of service, and using the tools of process mapping - we've analyzed and developed systems for achieving excellence in SPI service. We'll refine what we have learned during our preseason soft opening in early May, so each member of our team can learn to execute the process in such a seamless way you don't even notice.

What we look forward to bringing you is our energized dedication to making your stay one of the best, ever.
