Going to bed late, waking up early, reading this, hearing that, talking to this guy who was listening to that guy and on and on and on all in the name of success and happiness. That lifestyle is called The Chase. It is serious and those who play it mean business but the vicious chase cycle can be a never ending rat race with no guarantee that you'll get to the end. Still it's worth playing because chasers came to realize something is missing. Perhaps its money, fame or title but whatever the case, something is missing and sources close to chasers know it. The good news is there is an answer for chasers but it's hidden below a surface that's tougher than 18 inches of bank vault steel. To find the solution(s) you have to be willing to drill deep down inside and answer the following question: What do I love to do and can I place a profitable business model around it? Note: It's not easy, simple or fast.
If you're lucky you can find it while you're young. Others try to find it in a lucrative job field and work their way up the politically steeped food chain to the executive ranks. Please be advised there are obstacles called back stabbers disguised as "friends", glass ceilings masked as "must have requirements", and racism disguised as "over/under qualified", etc. If you haven't been lucky enough to find it yet, keep searching because when you do, euphoria and money tends to follow.
As an example, I was given a gracious introduction, hailed as a scholar and success story, one that made me humbly wonder who on earth they were talking about. The room was filled, saturated to be exact. Even my parents were shown
"groupie" love. The task for me was simple which was motivating the crowd about how to be successful and live out their dreams. I grabbed the mic and gave them everything they came for. Afterwards, I shook hands, kissed the active adults, posed for pictures and then there was the envelope with a document made out to me. A princely sum for my courage to go faraway places seeking out what I love to do. At that moment - bait - line - sink, I was hooked and the hours I used to give to the chase in every different direction began a narrowing focus. I was finally starting to see that you can live like a king and be rewarded when you find what it is you love to do, thus eliminating chasing everything else.
A Few Keys to Success
Dr. Thomas J. Stanley, author of the #1 New York Times Best-Seller The Millionaire Next Door, states it best in The Millionaire Mind
1.Love your work and [ensure that] it excites you every day
2.Your chosen vocation is one that allows full use of your abilities and aptitudes
3.Get high self-esteem from your work
4.[Make] absolute certain that your vocation will make you financially independent one day
No one knows this better than Adrienne Brown, president of March for College, Inc. She adored her years of being on the 50 yard line and in the top spot with Norfolk State's Hot Ice dancers and marching band. Saying she had a passion for the band was an understatement. She never stopped talking about it years after the glory days had vanished she even went back annually to support the alumni band. It would be years of the chase before she put her passions into a business model. Today, she's showcasing her company at the Essence Music Festival. When asked if she was afraid to take the plunge, she said, " Absolutely without question" but knew that her life wouldn't change until she mustered up the courage to do something about it. Something about it she did and now a successful launch is underway.
It Takes Courage
Our paths weren't so different. I give motivational talks but I use the global affluent lifestyle to provide my images. I talk about the feeling of being on top of the world using images of hovering in a chopper 500 ft above a harbor filled with yachts. It takes courage to travel to foreign lands but it's also very exciting and I love bringing Wealth TV to life. Imagine creating your own itinerary like taking President Kennedy Avenue from the French Rivera's Monte Carlo to Modena, Italy for lunch and onto at the Amalfi coast by sundown with very liberal supercar velocity laws and using that experience to talk about rapidly crossing international boundaries. What job ad have you ever applied to or even seen with that description? Even if you find it, the job was long filled by the boss's wife's brother's son. Still, as exciting as these things sound from either one of us, they take courage. You can't snicker when talking about what you do. Speak with confidence if you want to be taken seriously.

If you can't start off by doing whatever it is full time, do it when you can. Eventually, your vacation must become your vocation if you want a shot at success. Adrienne didn't wait for colleges to call her any more than I waited for Robin Leach to call me. We saw what we wanted and went for it and that's what we do. How about you?
From Being Bossed to THE BOSS
No one appreciates the grind towards decamillionaire corporate wage success more than I do, but sometimes you have to chart your own way. For that reason, we salute those who understand that the best way to predict the future is to create it. They were (Tenaciously Heroically Equipped) to attempt success for themselves and realized that whether in addition to a 9 to 5 or in spite of it they were (Better of Serving Self) and because they could be a boss they became THE BOSS. We see and salute you and encourage those who have charted that path with a shout out below:
