"Thanks4Giving" Fundraiser

Okay, so "Giving Tuesday" is past -- that doesn't mean that you can't still support AMHS Partners In Education and Academic Magnet Foundation in our the Thanks4Giving fundraising campaign!  We desperately need your help to reach our goal - we are only halfway there!  Without your PIE LOGOdonations, we may not be able to fund the many projects our organizations support for the AMHS community.  We hope every member of the Academic Magnet family will join  together and contribute.  Any amount is helpful and will help us continue to support AMHS.

You can donate online at https://amhspe.ejoinme.org/thanks4giving or mail a check with this donation form.  Please consider forwarding this to other family members that may be able to help.

Thanks 4 Giving!
AMHS Partners In Education & The Academic Magnet Foundation

Faculty Meetings
PIE LOGO
Each month, AMHS faculty meet together to discuss ... well, whatever they discuss!  Wouldn't if be great if they were also well fed and happy?  Help make sure our faculty's snacking needs are met by signing up to send in refreshments.  We still have sign-up spots available! We're using VolunteerSpot for AMHS Faculty Meeting Snack Sign-ups.

Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

1) Click this link to see our Sign-Up on VolunteerSpot: http://vols.pt/8oLiWj
2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
3) Sign up! It's Easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot.

Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact me and I can sign you up manually - sibita1@gmail.com.

Thank you for supporting our staff in such a practical (and much appreciated) way!

Community Service Opportunities

Ongoing

South Carolina Competes is geared primarily toward providing educational opportunities for students across the socioeconomic spectrum.  We have two major initiatives, and will be starting at least one more in the coming weeks.  These initiatives allow students to choose to either volunteer in a continuing project, or to volunteer for various one-time events.

Our FARE Play (Fantasy Athletics Real Education) initiative is a fantasy sport league where student volunteer mentors engage middle and elementary students in mathematics tutoring through sports statistics.

Our ACE (Athletes' Cooperative Education) initiative creates volunteer opportunities for student athletes from differing socioeconomic backgrounds to work together and engage in conversations about their differing perspectives.

For more information on South Carolina Competes, please contact them at sccompetes@gmail.com .
