School News
|
PSAT and Senior Seminar: Wednesday, October 14th all students in Grades 9, 10, and 11. Seniors will participate in Senior Seminar, panel discussion involving community professionals centering on the topic of personal and corporate ethics.
Graduation: Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2016 will take place May 31, 2016 at 2:30 PM at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
Rally Towels for Sale: Show your AMHS Spirit! The Junior Class is selling AMHS rally towels to support the cost of the Junior Trip for $5.00. Towels can be purchased at home football games or in the "school store" in Mrs. Zirkle's office.

Please join us Saturday, October 17th from 6-8 p.m. for our annual PIE sponsored International Dinner held in the AMHS cafeteria. This is a great way to connect with the Magnet community over a fantastic meal!

10/3/2015 -- IOP Connector Run Volunteers are needed prior to the race to help with packet stuffing, registration, and packet pick-up. On Race Day, volunteers are needed to help on the race course, at the post-race party, or cleaning up afterwards.

amhs.volunteer@dornisch.org or (843) 270-8324 if interested in participating. This year the Buddy Walk is offering a reduced registration rate of $10 for all volunteers. Registration includes t-shirt, food, entertainment and helping the Down Syndrome Association to raise money to fund education and social activities throughout the year. Volunteers will be manning festival activities such as jumpcastles.

 Belize Trip -- June 2016  Dr. Altman and Mr. McCormick have decided to open a 2nd trip. Our next destination - 8 days in BELIZE (June 8 -15). Come with us as we explore the rainforest and the 2nd largest reef system in the world. Highlights of the trip include: Mayan ruins of Lamanai and Xunantunich, Howler monkey sanctuary, snorkeling the reef, jungle hikes, cave tubing, and a zip line canopy tour. The current cost of the trip is $2785.
