School News
Principal Points: September

The school year is off to a terrific start, and I thank you all for your support of the students, faculty and program. Last week was Spirit Week and Homecoming, and it was great fun judithculminating in a decisive football victory; now we are focusing on completing the first academic term, college applications and thesis.

AMHS is the host school for four foreign exchange students this year: Melker Annas from Sweden, Juan Fernandez from Spain, Natalia Rengel from Brazil, and "Justin" Zou from China. I am confident that the students will learn much from the year at AMHS, and I am equally confident that we will learn from them as well. Let's make the students feel welcome and share in their experience here.

Congratulations to the following students, the AMHS National Merit Semi-Finalists for 2015 - 2016. This is an outstanding recognition, and we are very proud of all 18 students: Andrew Alberg, Thomas Bennett, Danny Cunningham, Natalie Davidson, Dashiell Jay, Jacob Kunkle, Matthew Leadem, Sophia McCallum, Silas Miller, Shannan Mueller, Jacob Nash, Nate Schlosser, Miranda Schwacke, Vivian Song, Whitney Su, Connor Woods, Xiaolan You, and Elaine Zhou.

Other Coming Attractions

Again, we are "up and running full speed ahead" on the school year and look forward to serving you and your student as best we can. Thank you for your continuing support!
