PIE Update

Welcome back parents and students!  I hope this first week has been wonderful for all concerned, it is going to be a terrific year!

Recently, there was a meeting of our AMHS Support Groups.  These groups are comprised of parents who volunteer their time and talents, to help Magnet continue our success as an outstanding, Nationally Ranked High School.  In the coming weeks of Raptor Reports, you will be able to read about each one of these groups, and possibly, determine how you and your family might assist each group in reaching their goals for our Academic Magnet High School this school year.  For your planning purposes, the following group meetings/activities are in calendar order:

AMF (Academic Magnet Foundation) All Foundation meetings are open to the public.  Please join us in the AMHS Media Center at 6 pm on Monday September 8.

PIE (Partners in Education/PTA) Don't miss the Open House / Meet the Teacher night, Thursday Sept 11 at 6 pm in the Caf. This is an open PIE meeting where the budget is presented for vote and you will hear from our Principal and follow your student's schedule.

BC (Booster Club) Please come to share your Raptor Spirit at the FIRST HOME Football game TAILGATE on Friday September 12. Enjoy Booster Club hospitality and cheer on our team at the football field nearby at Danny Jones!

SIC (School Improvement Council) All meetings are open to the public, there will be more information in next week's Raptor Report.
