Principal Points: 2014-2015 School Year Opening

Important Dates to judith Remember:

 

Welcome to the 2014 - 2015 school year!!  We are ready for an outstanding year and are ready to "take off" this year in some new directions and to continue to enrich our challenging academic program. 

 

However, there are several important dates and activities that accompany each new school year:

 

August 1, 2014: 

Address Verification Information 

due to AMHS

  • Affidavit (completed, signed and notarized)
  • Two additional items of proof
    • Tax Bill or Rental Agreement (lease)
    • Another bill (Water, SCE&G, Cable...)

(All submitted items must carry the same name or names.)

 

August 4, 5, 6, 7 and 11:   

Registration Days:  8:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Media Center at AMHS

 

August 4 - Seniors

August 5 - Juniors              

August 6 - Sophomores

August 7 - Freshmen

August 11 - make-ups

 

(All "back-to-school" forms are on the website; please prepare them before coming to register.)

Liberty Square at the SC Aquarium & the Charleston Maritime Center

 

Volunteer for the 2014 First Day Festival!

  

Every August, thousands of students celebrate education by attending the Festival. You can make this year's Festival a success by volunteering.

  

Volunteers are needed for:

Exhibitor set-up

Festival set-up

Assisting in the Kids Zone

Assisting with Boat Rides

Festival greeters

Water Team

Green Team

Distributing school supplies

And more!

Raptor Report

The Raptor Report is published weekly on Thursdays during the school year, except for holiday breaks.

Faculty, students, and parents are encouraged to submit articles and/or pictures of AMHS events, honors, and needs.

by the Tuesday preceding the Thursday publication date.
