The Jefferson Awards Lead 360 Challenge :

Lead 360 Challenge was started in 2010 and partnered with the US Conference of Mayors with 200 Mayors already signed up to highlight youth volunteerism in their communities.

Sashank Sakamuri and Ian Kent are two Mount Pleasant 11th grade musicians who created a music outreach volunteer project at Franke @ Seaside called "Music Mission: Elder Outreach" .

These two are passionate about their music and their project, Music Mission. They play therapeutic banjo and cello music every week to elderly "shut-ins" and in hospice care, and those facing numerous limitations due to dementia. Founded in 2012, they have logged over 300 service hours of compassionate outreach.

The music is the magic that holds us all together.
