PIE Update |
Happy Halloween to all the Magnet goblins and trolls. (Hope I have not offended anyone with a politically incorrect label!)
Thank you to everyone for attending the College Awareness night last Wednesday, we had terrific feedback from the speakers and the attendees. We are in the process of organizing a Survey Monkey, which will hopefully be up before the holidays. PIE wants to know what our members want to see offered in the way of "Family Awareness" evenings. We plan to extend our programs to reach out and fill in the gaps that may exist for parents as they navigate these tricky High School years. So, when you see the Survey Monkey, help us out and complete it!
The CAR MAGNETS should be in next week! I am terribly sorry for the delay. Those who paid for them at the Registration or Open House will be receiving them in your students focus classrooms. Check the Raptor for confirmation next week.
The Tumblers and Magnets are available for purchase through the bookkeepers office and, soon, at the front desk as well. We will be sending out a little "advertising campaign" to present them to your students for possible holiday gifts. It is our mini fundraiser, before we start getting the word out to our Sponsors about the big Auction/ Gala on March 22 (which is our REAL Fundraiser, as well as a rollicking good time!).
Thank you for supporting PIE with Top 10 in the Nation Car Magnets and Tumblers. We look forward to talking to you in January about being a part of our Sponsorship for the Auction, 100% of the money raised goes directly back to the school. We will use this space in the future to promote our teachers "wish lists" so you can know how the money will be spent!
Thanks for all you do to support our school, have a great week!

Support AMHS Yearbook with a Business or Tribute Ad
|
Successful businesses aim to make the most of every advertising dollar. You have the opportunity to do this and at the same time support an outstanding educational experience for students at Academic Magnet High School. Your ad will be printed in over 500 books, each of which is read and widely circulated among family and friends. A yearbook is kept for a lifetime - your ad will be seen over and over. See the attached form for information and rates, or contact Larissa Bortz at larissa_bortz@charleston.k12.sc.us.
Parents: Make Their Yearbook Personal and Special!
The end of the school year may be months away, but now is the time to plan your lasting message to your son or daughter in the 2014 AMHS yearbook. A yearbook tribute ad is the perfect opportunity to acknowledge your student's achievements and leave a personal message in a book they will keep for a lifetime.
