AMHS girls soccer team wins Class AA Lower State title
|
The AMHS girls soccer team beat Bishop England 3-0 to win the Class AA Lower State Women's title on Monday night. The team will play defending state champions, Christ Church, on Friday afternoon at Gilbert High School in Columbia

US Lacrosse names 5 AMHS girls' lacrosse team members to the All-Academic team; Julia Sacha receives special award
|
Congratulations to the following Varsity Girls lacrosse players for being named to the 2013 US Lacrosse High School All Academic team: Alex Gilbert, Hunter Leckonby, Annie Hoist, Rachel Edwards and Gabby Giles. A US Lacrosse All-Academic honoree is a player who exhibits exemplary lacrosse skills, good sportsmanship on the field, and represents high standards of academic achievement in the classroom. Athletes also have left their mark beyond the lacrosse field and the classroom by making significant contributions of service to the school and/or community.
Julia Sacha received the Jackie Pitts Award. This award is given by US Lacrosse to a senior in each chapter that exemplifies the spirit of the game on and off the field and is an outstanding student as well as a valued role model in her school

Palmetto Fellows Late Awards
|
Parents/Guardians,
If you child has obtained a 1400 SAT or 32 ACT and has a 4.0 GPA or higher, please ensure that the guidance department has their scores to begin the submission process for late awards for Palmetto Fellows. If your child has not obtained the necessary test scores, they may continue to take the SAT or the ACT but must have the scores by the June final test and have them submitted to AMHS and the Commission on Higher Education.

With the end of the school year fast approaching, I wanted to let everyone know the Raptor Report publication schedule for the next few weeks. Please read carefully as there are some changes from the normal Wednesday publication times.
The Raptor Report will be published:
May 22 - information should be submitted by May 20.
June 3 - information should be submitted by June 1. This issue will be dedicated to the class of 2013 and will be the final issue of Raptor Report for the school year
NOTE: The Raptor Report WILL NOT be published on May 29.
