At Taylored Expressions, we love to learn new techniques, polish up on old favorites, and be inspired by the creativity of our amazing design team.

TE Blog Design Team member Wanda Guess crafted this wonderful shaker card and we wanted to share how she created it!

Start by stamping and coloring your images. Cut your image piece into the size circle you would like. Next, cut a sheet of acetate the same size as your image circle.

For the border portion, tape two circle dies down layered inside each other. (Wanda selected two that would give her a 1/4" frame). Adhere your acetate circle to the frame circle using clear glue.

Now cut small strips of foam tape and put them all around your frame so that they are touching. (Hint: If you leave any gaps, your shaker ingredients will come out!)

Choose some colorful sequins and place them on your stamped images. Peel off your foam tape sections and adhere the two circles together.

For the waves, Wanda used our Medium Scallop Border die. However, instead of using the scallop border piece, she used the negative piece left behind after the die cutting. We love how it makes perfect waves and how Wanda chose two colors and layered the three cuts together.

We hope you've been inspired to create a shaker card of your own. When you do, visit our Facebook Page and share with us!
Big thanks to Wanda for creating such a wonderful tutorial for us.
