Teacher Appreciation Lunch
On Wednesday, October 5th, DMHS PTO will sponsor the first Teacher Appreciation Lunch of the school year. The PTO does everything for the lunches and is in need of help! Set up starts at 10:30 a.m. and the lunch is served at 12:30 p.m. The PTO also needs a generous amount of baked goods for desserts, which are all donated by the PTO parents of DMHS. Please consider volunteering and/or dropping a baked good at the office the morning of October 5th! Contact Jennifer Dorsch at jendorsch@aol.com if you can help. Thank You for the support! |

Can You Help?
The PTO is seeking a new or gently-used microwave for use in the main office break-room, for use by school staff and administration. Maybe it's time for your own kitchen upgrade, and you have one to donate! Contact Heather Heroldt at 602-502-0063 with any questions, or for pick-up and delivery. Thanks so much! |

The Stethoscoop, from your School Nurse
New Flu Information 2016-17The single best way to prevent the flu is to get a flu shot every year. About two weeks after vaccination, antibodies develop that protect against influenza virus infection. Flu vaccines will not protect against flu-like illnesses caused by non-influenza viruses. What's new this flu season?
- Only injectable flu shots are recommended this season
- Flu vaccines have been updated to better match circulation viruses
- The recommendations for vaccination of people with egg allergies have changed, so ask your doctor about getting the shot in a more controlled setting.
