#CRIRowStudio Going Strong
 New Mid-Morning Sessions Added

Since we started the #CRIRowStudio in December last year we have had over 250 brand new people come into CRI who have never taken a class before! That is an incredible accomplishment. Normally in the winter we have very few new visitors join us, and these visits to the CRIRrowStudio don't include our current CRI members that have given it a go!

Due to this great success, and on recommendations from some of the members, we are adding mid-morning sessions on Mondays at 9:30am & Wednesdays at 9:00am.

Please go to www.mindbodyonline.com to book a session for yourself and then tell all of your friends to do the same!

Corporate Rowing & #CRIRowStudio
Thank You

Last Thursday morning, March 10th, the CRI Business Team hosted 11 students from the University of Vermont sports management course for a #CRIRowStudio event and presentation of our mission "Rowing for All".  After a tour of the facility and an overview of CRI's programs, Matt Lehrer, CRI's Director of Education, highlighted his own path through sports management and his work with the Institute for Rowing Leadership.  Then the students were put through a #CRIRowStudio session lead by coach Anna Harris.  Everyone had a blast learning more about rowing and getting a taste of how the #CRIRowStudio is helping us further our mission of "Rowing for All".

Thank you to Anna and Matt for their help and support in putting on an awesome event with the CRI Business Team.  We're looking forward to another #CRIRowStudio event at Wellbridge Athletic Club in Harvard Square on Friday, March 18th.

Coach OnBoarding
Volunteers Needed Sunday, March 20th

We are currently running a session of CRI Coach Onboarding and looking for 2 volunteers for this coming Sunday morning, March 20th, for 1-2 hours.

If you enjoy sculling and rowing and are familiar with CRI boat handling procedures, how would you like to help set up a 'test' for our coaches? We'll need you come Sunday morning at 8:30am to bring one or two small boats and place them on a trailer and 'mess them up', do things just a bit 'wrong'. The test will be to see if those participating in OnBoarding catch/fix things improperly done.

A quick and easy job, with Sunday morning snack and coffee too.

To volunteer, please email Nonna at: nonna@communityrowing.org

Rowing Injury Prevention Program
The Micheli Center

Several coaches and athletes attended a run through of a novel rowing injury prevention program at the Micheli Center last week. The feedback was very positive. The protocol was developed as a direct result of interactions between CRI staff/athletes, Sara Collins,PT, and Kate Ackerman, MD.

The Micheli Center has agreed to offer classes for CRI, if coaches and their teams are interested. A similar program is in development for para rowing. For more information, please feel free to contact me or the Micheli Center.

Best,

Marilyn

Scullers Information Meeting
Monday, March 28th, 7PM

The kickoff Scullers Information Meeting will be held at 7PM on Monday, March 28 in the CRI Weight Room. You'll hear from Kane Larin, Dave Snowdon, and our coaches, Mike Baker and Anna Harris with updates and plans for this summer. Come early at 6:45PM enjoy some refreshments and snacks with your sculling colleagues. A number of us might even be rowing by then, given how warm the water already is and the likely forecast in the next couple weeks - and the sandbar is gone!!  We hope you'll join us.
