Headless Halloween Fun
2015 Regatta Photos
|
Over 50 rowers participated in this year's Headless Halloween regatta in singles, double, quads and 8's.
Seen on the race course: minions, salt and pepper shakers, mail order brides, zombies and a "motley crew". A few Amelia Earhart's flew down the course along with 4 super-women and a court jester.
Plenty of prizes were given out as everyone feasted on the potluck breakfast. Trick or Treat!

Corporate Team Building
News & Updates
|
On Sunday CRI hosted Ironwood Pharmaceutical for a wonderful fall team building row. The weather ended up being exceptional for the crew of 8 that had never rowed before. They were very ambitious and eager to get on the water. Our coaching Staff of head coach John Sisk and assistant coach Coxy did a great job of getting them moving together with all 8 rowing. The crew had a great time on the water and were thankful for the opportunity to learn the sport of rowing on such a great day. Our wonderful volunteers from the Girls Varsity squad; Julia Hartnett, Meghan Czeisler, Fia Marota and Jennifer Bindman were very helpful in helping setup for the event, carrying ergs, demonstrating, prepping equipment and coxing. They were so good they were sent home with fresh baked baguettes after having a great volunteer lunch. CRI is now focused on expanding on this past years corporate team building program success for a great 2016. We welcome any feedback on this year's events and any potential opportunities to partner with new corporations for team building in 2016. Feel free to reach out to Jeff at jeff.nelson@communityrowing.org.

Comp Women in Tennessee
Finish Season at Head of the Hooch
|
The Comp Women finished off their season at the Head of the Hooch in Chattanooga, Tennessee this past weekend. The women raced in a variety of boats and categories, including some mixed lineups with the Comp Men. It was very successful and fun weekend for all, and the team left Chattanooga with two gold medals, a silver medal, two bronze medals, and a handful of top 10 finishes.
Big shout out to our teammates Lee Ford and Gina Sage for spearheading the trailer's trip to Tennessee and back! We wouldn't have been able to race without them.
