Corporate Team Building
News & Updates
|
On Wednesday CRI hosted Kitewheel a local cloud software provider for a 16 person team building row. Kitewheel came to CRI through a parent referral, the President of Kitewheel, Mark Smith's daughter Elise, rows with the girls novice team. Their 16 sales and marketing employees came to CRI from all over the country. The coaches, Vee Platzer and Rachel Schlosser had them on the water and rowing all together quickly. The team was treated to two experienced coxswains, Teina Lucas and Alejandro Chavez who did a great job directing them in the boats. The Kitewheel team enjoyed the great warm fall weather with lots of enthusiasm. The final racing between the two 8+s was quite intense with both teams working hard to best each other. Our volunteers, Barbara Goldstein and James Hadley were great in helping the crews on and off the water and managing the behind the scenes details. Thank you Kitewheel team for spending the day with us, you were a great group.

Novice Girls
Columbus Day Sculling Spectacle
|
No, you are not seeing a mirage on the water nor are you seeing a trick photo using smoke, mirrors, or photoshop! What you are
seeing is our CRI Novice Girls team rowing the 24x Stampfli shell.
Yesterday, the girls had a serendipitous "bucket list" opportunity (their words not mine) to row in the world's only 24x sculling shell! According to boat designer and owner of Stampfli, Melchoir Burgin, our CRI novice girls team is the first and only all women's outing to date! Brava Girls!
In addition to getting a chance to row in this engineering marvel, the girls very much fell in love with some free genuine Swiss chocolate from Zurich, care of Mr Burgin himself. Parents, be sure to check your amazon Prime accounts for packages from Switzerland! Lol.
Thanks to Mr Burgin!
