32nd Annual Allston Brighton Parade
|
Sunday, September 27, 2015 1:00pm
32nd Annual Allston Brighton Parade
CRI has participated in the Allston Brighton Parade for over 15 years. Let's continue the CRI tradition and create the most amazing float in this year's parade.
In past parades, other participants have included marching bands from Boston College, Boston University and Salem High School, Harvard University Cheerleaders, WGBH, Oak Sq. YMCA, Brighton High School JROTC,elected officials and the Mayor of Boston to name a few.
Are you creative, a visionary, enthusiastic about spreading your CRI love for rowing, always wanted to be in a parade? Come help us design a float for CRI. Join the fun. We need you, lots of you!
Whether you have a creative idea, can bring tools or just want to be an athlete or coach on the float please join us. We will have a 2015 Parade Kick Off Meeting in the first week of September. Be a part of it!
Please email Theresa Fitzpatrick at theresafitz.cri@gmail.com by August 27 if you would like to be a part of the 2015 Allston Brighton Parade and our CRI Float. Be a part of it.
We need your team spirit to help spread our love for rowing!

CRAB ALERTS
Please Take Note
|
From August 11th:
The obstruction/sandbar that appeared above the Cambridge arch of Anderson bridge has been removed. Thanks to all who alerted CRAB to this situation so that they could work with MassDOT and others and get it resolved quickly.
From August 10th:
Heads up boaters especially you backwards facing rowers.... construction is nearly complete on the Riverside docks. They are now positioned in a new configuration. - and this may change your usual traffic pattern.
As you may know, a few years ago, ice build up behind the dock pushed the docks out, taking the porch with it. Emergency repairs were made but a permanent solution, which included pilings, was needed. The new configuration pushes the docks out further into the river. For those of you who like to cut that corner and buzz the downstream end of the RBC dock, take a good look when rounding the turn in the upstream direction.
Riverside boats waiting to dock should hover downstream in the shadow of the dock closer to shore. Riverside boats that need to adjust after launching should wait in the shadow of the dock on the upstream side.
Riverside asks that you alert them to any issues that you see arising from the new configuration.
