As the only yearlong sport-specific post-graduate level coaching education program in the USA, the IRL at CRI was invited by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to share our story in the Winter 2015 edition of their quarterly coaching journal, Olympic Coach.
Their journal is focused on issues important to National Governing Bodies (NGBs) of all sports with a specific focus in this issue on Long-Term Athlete Development. The focus of our submission was to share the theoretical underpinnings of the IRL program developed here at CRI to improve the educational opportunities for coaches to inspire other sports to make a similar significant investment in educating their coaches.

| Photo Shoot at CRI!!

CRI will host a photo shoot here at the boathouse this Thursday, April 2nd. All our scheduled programs/classes/practices will run as planned.
The shoot is big, and it will be great to get our boathouse the media attention it deserves.
Things will be a bit hectic here throughout the day. The biggest impact will be on parking as shoot vehicles will be parking in the lot. The shoot staff arranged for a State Trooper to help direct traffic, and overflow parking will be available at the ice rink down the road.
We'll need to be patient with the folks working the shoot, giving over a portion of our beautiful space is a bit inconvenient but doing so supports our incredible programs.

These sturdy jackets are made out of Gortex, wear extremely well, sport a CRI crest on the left chest and personalization on the right sleeve: this can include first or last name only, first initial and last name or a nickname.
They run true to size and come in unisex sizes: S, M, L, XL and XXL. Not sure of which size to order? There are numerous athletes at the club who already own a jacket to try or email me.

| Coxswains Needed
WeCanRow Boston
| 
WeCanRow Boston is looking for a coxswain to join our dynamic program. Women Enduring Cancer Row (WeCanRow) is a wellness program for women who are breast cancer survivors. The program consists of approximately 35 active members with a range of rowing experience and physical ability. WCR aims to teach and improve rowing skills, build physical strength, and develop teamwork with women who have had similar cancer experiences. We practice on Tuesday evenings from 6-8PM starting April 7th and ending on October 13th. We row out of the Boston University boathouse using a training barge, 8+s, and 4+s. Candidate should have experience coxing both novice and experienced rowers, be comfortable coxing on the Charles, be able to give technical feedback in the boat, and willing to commit to regular attendance.
