Love walking into our beautiful boathouse? Us too!

Help us highlight CRI as the best venue in Boston for corporate outings, private events, and weddings. We'll be hosting an open house for event planners, wedding planners, and select vendors from Greater Boston to get to see just how incredible our boathouse is, so please help us spread the word.

If you know an events person who needs to see the place you have been telling them about for years, have them contact Sharanya Subramanian at sharanya@communityrowing.org to receive an invite. Space is limited!

CRI to Host USABA LTA Development Camp
May 29 - June 4, 2015

In partnership with USRowing and Community Rowing, Inc., the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA), is pleased to host an adaptive rowing camp for rowers with physical disabilities and identify potential candidates for participation in the Paralympic Games. The camp will be held in Boston, MA at Community Rowing.

The camp is open to male and female participants but is limited to those eligible for the LTA (Legs, Trunks & Arms) Paralympic boat class. Generally speaking, rowers who can use a sliding seat, such as someone with a visual impairment or with single-leg or single-arm involvement, are in the LTA class.

Athletes with disabilities who are currently rowing or have previous rowing experience or who have a high level of fitness and a competitive athletic background are strongly encouraged to apply.Veterans and Active Duty Service Members with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

This program was funded in part by a grant by the United States Department of Veteran Affairs. Program fees for non-military athletes will be no more than $375 and include all components of the camp (accommodations, ground transportation, meals, equipment, training, etc.).  We endeavor to subsidize these fees for the benefit of qualified candidates. Travel will be the responsibility of the participant.

Applications must be submitted no later than April 15.

Experience Makers Wanted
Volunteer for The 'What Works' Summit Coaching Conference 2015

Share your enthusiasm for CRI and the sport of rowing on Friday & Saturday, February 27th & 28th! I am helping Matt Lehrer to look for volunteers to make the 'What Works' Summit 2015 a one of a kind experience. It is a great opportunity to draw participants into the engaging and welcoming community that is CRI.

Volunteer Shift Sign Up

Volunteers are required to complete an evening training session prior to the start of the 'What Works' Summit. This meeting is important as we will review the tasks that each volunteer position is required to complete. It is also a great time to meet the people with whom you will be working!

The volunteer training meeting is on Monday, February 23rd at 6:45 PM in the G-Row Classroom.

Best,

Matt Lehrer & Sharanya Subramanian
