Sports Nutrition Presentation
Fueling for Performance
|
Sports nutrition is confusing these days...
- Should you eat carbs?
- Avoid them?
- How do I lose weight or stay lean while having enough energy to reach peak athletic performance?
This presentation will address not only these questions, but also the "chatter" in your mind regarding food "shoulds" and "shouldn't haves (self-criticisms)." You know the ones ...
- "I should eat more veggies & fruit."
- "I shouldn't eat so much sugar."
- "I shouldn't drink so much caffeine."
- "I was dumb for eating so much."
Newton based sport nutritionist, Nancy Clark RD, author of the Sports Nutrition Guidebook -- http://www.nancyclarkrd.com/books/sportsnutrition.asp -- will share her sports nutrition knowledge, and Harvard Professor Dr. John Livingstone, will address the inner-voice (i.e. "shoulds") that pop into our minds with the thoughts that often interfere with our ability to have a peaceful relationship with food, eating, and one's healthy body.
COME WITH YOUR QUESTIONS (!) This promises to be a helpful & enlightening workshop! Personally autographed copies of Nancy's best-selling Sports Nutrition Guidebook will be available for sale ($19).
$5 fee for ALL CRI members, CRI coaches are FREE!
