Coaching Education Symposium
Tonight, 9/16 at 6:30 PM
|
Featured Speaker: Dr. John Livingstone - Physician, Psychotherapist, and Sculler from Harvard Medical School
Topic: Recruiting the Mind-Body Connection in Coaching: A New Practical Science-based Routine to Enhance Your Coaching and Help Rowers Access Power and Flow
Description: This seminar introduces rowing coaches to the Rower's Mind-Body Routine (RM-BR™), a scientifically-grounded routine they can teach to their athletes and use for themselves. Interactive role play demonstrations will be used. RMBR takes people into new territory beyond other methods. Using it helps coaches and their athletes soften the thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations which "pop-up" during practice and competition, and which block optimal performance, sound nutrition, and team collaboration.

Celebration of Women's Rowing
Sign Up Today!
|
The Fifth Annual Celebration of Women's Rowing will take place on Sunday, September 21 from 8:15 to 11 am at Community Rowing's Harry Parker Boathouse, 20 Nonantum Road, Brighton, MA. We'll row eights and quads in mixed lineups representing a cross section of all rowers of all experience levels. This will be followed by a rower's brunch and a chance to catch up and connect with people you may not normally have the opportunity to row with. We hope you'll be able to join us. Please RSVP so we can get a head start on lineups and we can make sure that we have enough food
Please sign up for the Women's Row using the this link:
Call for Rowing Brunch Potluck Items
This year we have decided to add on a potluck element for the Rowing Brunch. We will still be providing food as well, but we also wanted to make it possible for anyone interested in bringing and sharing something to let us know what they would like to bring so we can plan around that. You can sign up for a brunch item here: Erin |

Planet Aid Clothing Drive
Recycling Clothes for the Planet
| Go Green and give back, by dropping off clothing you no longer need in the Planet Aid box in the lobby. Planet Aid is a non-profit that collects and recycles second-hand clothing to generate funds for development projects at home and abroad, focusing predominately on education and healthcare.
Each year, they keep 100+ million pounds of clothing out of landfills and raise millions of dollars for their causes. To give back at the community level, they donate coats, toiletries and canned goods they collect to homeless shelters and food pantries the communities throughout New England.
