Matt McLaughlin took bronze in the LTA-ID Men's 2X with Gary Piantodosi in bow. Jaden Thoennes and Priscilla Lowell took gold in the TA Women's 2x, and Jaden also took silver in the TA Women's 1X.

IMPORTANT news regarding ANDERSON BRIDGE!
CRAB Alert
Please read the note from Mass DOT below regarding changes to the arch closure at Anderson Bridge.  We'll have to do some adjustments through the fall as they plan on Monday, Sept 16 to open Boston and close the center for a week.  On Monday, Sept 23, they plan to open the Center and close Cambridge.  Note the use of the word 'approximately', so please keep your eyes open in case these changes happen a little early, or a little late.

From the Mass DOT:
MassDOT's contractor plans on switching barrels in the river on Monday, September 16, 2013,  to have the middle barrel closed for approximately one week and the Boston and Cambridge side open.

At this time they plan on switching again on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013,  to have the middle barrel and the Boston barrel open and the Cambridge side barrel closed.

Longfellow Bridge Work
Update for week of 9.16.2013

MassDOT's design/build contractor, White-Skanska-Consigli (WSC), has provided the following update for work in the water and within the spans of the Longfellow Bridge. The work is to prepare for construction of the Longfellow Bridge Rehabilitation Project and includes moving the navigation channel from Span 6 to Span 5 on Wednesday, 9/18/2013.

Update for the week of 9/16/2013:

  • WSC will finish SAFWAY scaffolding installation in Span 7 on Monday (9/16) and Tuesday (9/17).
  • WSC will install the temporary navigational lights Monday (9/16) in Span 5.
  • WSC will finish installing bottom flange lagging in Span 5 Monday (9/16) and Tuesday (9/17).
  • WSC will move the main navigational channel from Span 6 to Span 5 by the end of the day Wednesday (9/18).
    • All lighting will be operational and all in-water preparation work, including safety boom installation, will be complete before making the move.
    • A state police detail boat will be used as needed to direct boat traffic.
  • Once the navigational channel is moved to Span 5, WSC will install SAFWAY scaffolding in Span 6 for the remainder of the week.
