Congratulations to Cicely Madden, Lauren Barnard and Zoe Dineen, CRI's Varsity Competitive girls who represented the USA this past summer in international competition.
Cicely (far left in the photo) raced in the stroke seat of the USA quadruple scull that brought home a silver medal at the 2013 Junior Worlds Row
ing Championships in Trakai, Lithuania August 7 - 11, 2013.
Lauren raced bow seat in the Women's Junior 8+ in Trakai and advanced to the final, finishing fifth.
Zoe (on her knees in the front row) raced at the CanAmMex regatta (Canada, USA, Mexico) at the Oklahoma City High Performance Center in Oklahoma City,OK. Zoe raced in the A-pair as bow seat and in the eight as 7 seat. She won both events.
Nice work CRI Ladies! Added bonus: ALL THREE will be back and racing for CRI this year!

Volunteers are needed for our Rumble on the River this Sunday. Please pitch in to assist in this fun event, while at the same time enjoying a lovely day around our boathouse on the Charles.
Volunteer shifts include:
Set-Up/Prep: 8-10am
1st Shift: 9am-1pm
2nd Shift: 12 Noon-4pm
Clean-Up: 4-6pm

Rumble on the River 2013

Are you Ready to Rumble?!!! Registration is open on RegattaCentral--all CRI programs and scullers are welcome to enter. New this year: throw-down format for the sprint racing! Call out your preferred rival and go head to head on the 400m sprint course.
Please join us! Mark your calendars and come to the Harry Parker Boathouse on the banks of the Charles for a day of rowing, fun and live music. Best of luck out on the water!

| IMPORTANT news regarding ANDERSON BRIDGE!

Please read the note from Mass DOT below regarding changes to the arch closure at Anderson Bridge. We'll have to do some adjustments through the fall as they plan on Monday, Sept 16 to open Boston and close the center for a week. On Monday, Sept 23, they plan to open the Center and close Cambridge. Note the use of the word 'approximately', so please keep your eyes open in case these changes happen a little early, or a little late.
From the Mass DOT:
MassDOT's contractor plans on switching barrels in the river on Monday, September 16, 2013, to have the middle barrel closed for approximately one week and the Boston and Cambridge side open.
At this time they plan on switching again on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, to have the middle barrel and the Boston barrel open and the Cambridge side barrel closed.

We'll row eights and quads in mixed lineups near the boathouse -- nothing strenuous. This will be followed by a rower's brunch and a chance to catch up.
