Row Boston Celebration
Boys and Girls Squads Finish Their Season
 
Row Boston boys and girls squads held a joint end-of-season celebration at the boathouse on Friday, May 31. Over 60 athletes were in attendance, with thirteen receiving Scholar-Athlete Plaques for maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or above or for improving their overall GPA by more than .5 from the beginning of the year. 

Highlights included the Perfect Attendance Award, going to Shannon Flynn, and the Highest Varsity Team GPA--a 4.0!-- going to Jasmine Jean, a BLA student. Other athletes who maintained a GPA of 4.0 or higher for the fourth term grading period were: Eric Wang, Boys Novice, BLS : 4.07 , Kha Dam, Girls Novice, Brighton High: 4.12 , Ziqiu Zhang, Girls Novice Squad, Brighton High: 4.0

Friends of Faneuil Library
25th Annual Funky Auction - Tonight!!

Faneuil Library is our local Brighton library, housed in a wonderful old building just down the road in Brighton.

Only one more space needed from 6/10 - 6/25 for one athlete!
 
CRI is hosting the US National Team selection camp for the World University Games this summer. One more housing spot is needed for one athlete from 6/10-6/25 in a cat/dog free home. The athlete will be responsible for his own food expenses during his stay.

Sculling on the Charles River is an incredible experience and we want everyone to try it. And what better time to begin than over the summer? There is nothing more fun!

Help us spread the word! Any member already enrolled in programs at CRI who encourages a friend, neighbor or loved one to sign up for Sculling 1 will receive a credit of $125 towards your next registration.

City of Boston Parks Survey
DCR Seeking Input on Parks
The City of Boston Parks Department is conducting a survey on park use, collecting surveys from residents and non-residents of Boston. The survey does include the Charles River Reservation (not a city but a state park) in the data gathering, so this is a good chance for rowers to provide input on river and park use.

Take a few minutes to share your comments and opinions by taking the survey. Here is the link:
