The Events of Last Week

Last week was marked by extraordinary, heart-wrenching events in Boston which impacted so many lives including many of our rowers, coaches and employees living in Watertown who endured the frightening events on Friday caused by the terrorists. We are so happy and relieved that these men were stopped, and we are proud of the courage and effectiveness of our entire community, and most especially the law enforcement agencies who worked together so end this episode so quickly. These events make our extraordinary good fortune - in place, in country, and in community - very clear. As our thoughts continue to be with those who have lost loved ones, those who have been injured and must recover and heal, we will not take these gifts for granted.
