Icebreaker Challenge
Thanks for Making the Icebreaker a Success!
|
Last Sunday, more than 40 CRI members participated in the first annual Icebreaker Challenge and helped raise over $800 dollars for the Row Boston, Military, Adaptive, and Let's Row outreach programs. Some impressive times were thrown down as Paul Flack, Kevin Dutt, Gina Sage Kennedy and Carolyn Erickson took top honors (and ice scrapers!) in their respective categories before the Let's Row team emerged victorious in the relay. The morning ended with delicious food prepared by the racers while we all celebrated the end of the winter season. Thank you to all participants and especially volunteers for helping to make this event truly awesome! Let us know how we did! Please fill out a very brief Post-Event Survey and chime in on Facebook. There you can find results and post your photos from the event.

14th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup
Join the CRI Crew
|
Thank you to the folks who have responded already! We'll need a few more helpers though, so please be a part of our CRI crew for the 14th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup. With your help we can join other volunteers for this year's cleanup, spending some time helping to keep the banks of the river we love so much clean.
The 14th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Cleanup involves thousands of volunteers helping to beautify the Charles River and its tributaries by picking up trash and cleaning the riverbanks at over 100 sites from Boston to Bellingham.
Volunteers will be provided with all of the supplies and instructions needed to make the cleanup a success - trash bags, gloves and a t-shirt for each participant.
To find out more about the event please visit the Charles River Watershed Association's website
.
To volunteer with other CRI folk on the morning of the 20th, please e-mail Nonna at: nonna@communityrowing.org
