February Military Challenge
Just Beginning But Almost Halfway!
|
Yes, the January Challenge is over for 2013 and CRI showed spectacular results. Now, hear about what team "COMMUNITY ROWING BRIGHTON MIL VETS" is doing...
Twelve days into the Concept 2 February Online Military Challenge, and COMMUNITY ROWING BRIGHTON MIL VETS are in 10th place out of 59 teams competing. With 12 members so far, CRI MIL VETS have contributed 517,095 meters, just behind the Estonian Land Forces. CRI MIL VETS current 13 members have valiantly kept us in 10th place, and with more members sure to join, this team is promising to represent CRI with pride!
The geography lesson: As of 2pm Feb 12, CRI MIL VETS have rowed to Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. One of the oldest military bases in the United States, APG primarily provides research, engineering and development services for the U.S. Army.
If you know of any service member or veteran who would like to log meters for CRI MIL VETS, please contact chris@communityrowing.org, or join online at: http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/motivation/online-challenges
Many thanks to Jane Morse for her guidance in motivation!

With a Little Help From Our Friends...
|
The grounds surrounding the boathouse are a large area to keep up, and in keeping with our club spirit, we encourage and would greatly appreciate help from time to time in keeping the area accessible, safe and clean.
We have the equipment and materials around to do the job, but rely on many hands to keep the boathouse running smoothly.
If you see a icy spot that needs a sprinkle of sand or a bit of shoveling, or a stray piece of litter blowing about ... please take a moment and pitch-in to help keep our boathouse presentable.
