Dear Friends,
Oak Cliff continues to be a travel destination for those seeking trendy boutiques, eclectic art studios and award-winning restaurants you won't find anywhere else. Now with the new DART Loop Route, visitors will have direct access by shuttle from downtown to Historic Oak Cliff, including Bishop Arts and Jefferson Boulevard. Beginning November 4, 2013, tourists and residents alike can travel to and from South Side on Lamar, the Convention Center, the Omni Hotel, the West End, American Airlines Center, Klyde Warren Park, the Arts District and more. The 30 ft. Shuttle Buses traveling this route will be easily recognizable and will run every fifteen minutes, six days a week from 11:00AM to 10:30PM.
The Oak Cliff Chamber has been instrumental in bringing this route to our area and plans to capitalize on this opportunity to attract new people to dine, play, and shop in Oak Cliff. We will be publishing a brochure with a map of the route to be placed in major hotels, at the Dallas Visitors Center, and on the shuttles to inform travelers of the limitless opportunities for fun and local flavor. Businesses can purchase advertising in the Loop brochure to let guests know where you are, what you offer, and how to contact you. Call the Chamber at (214) 943-4567 for more information and stayed tuned for more details on this exciting news!
Sincerely,
Scott Chase, Lawyer 2013 Board or Directors Chair

Oak Cliff Chamber to Purchase Building at 1001 N. Bishop
| The Oak Cliff Chamber has the office building at 1001 N. Bishop under contract for purchase. This building has been vacant for many years and is in need of extensive repairs, but it is our vision to renovate the property and use part of it as the Chamber's headquarters, part of it as office space (executive suites) for local business people, and also allow organizations throughout the community to use the meeting rooms.
We Need Your Help! In order to accomplish this, the zoning on the property must be restored to allow "office use" (it was previously a medical office). On August 14th the zoning case goes before the City Council and we need as much support from the community as possible to make this vision a reality. Read more>>
