Letter from the Chairman
Scott Chase, Attorney Dear Friends,

Oak Cliff continues to be the talk of the town on many fronts.  Young families are migrating here at higher rates, finding good deals on homes and discovering great schools for their kids.  Those that already own homes here are seeing the values increase at rates higher than most of north Texas.  Investors are buying old buildings, fixing them up for all those new businesses that are opening up and developers are finding tenants are willing to pay more than ever just to be a part of Oak Cliff.

These undeniable trends are the result of many years of hard work by a lot of people.  I am proud to say that many have offered their services to this community via the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce.  We have had an impact on everything from streetcars to major rezoning issues to neighborhood cleanups to scholarships for Oak Cliff youth to parks and trails, and much, much more.

If you, or someone you know, are looking for a way that you can give back to this community, look no farther.  We have many opportunities on many different subjects.  The way we organize all these efforts is through our divisional vice-chairs.  Below is a list of those divisions and some of the efforts that are currently going on.  If one has appeal, simply contact the person and let them know you want to be involved.

If you want to get involved and do not see your particular area of interest in the list above, do not hesitate to contact me (schase@airmail.net) or our President, Bob Stimson (bstimson@oakcliffchamber.org) to find out how the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce can help.  After all, our mission is to help promote economic development and a better quality of life for Oak Cliff and southern Dallas.

Regards,

Scott Chase, Lawyer
