Ancestral Moon Dance
|
Dear ,
We are here in Florida escaping the Polar Vortex and warming ourselves up at outdoor art shows. I hope you join us!
February has a full list of venues from coast to coast. I'll spend most of this month on the west coast of Florida; from Mount Dora to Naples. Then I head to the East Coast of Florida and then to Texas. Here's my full schedule.
Also in this studio journal I have new installations to share and a glimpse at some new videos! Enjoy.
Sincerely,
Brenda McMahon Brenda McMahon Ceramics

Wisconsin Install

I started my year off with three new installations. Sheri purchased Tributary Rocks from me in late December and it looks beautiful in her home. Take a look at the 2 other new installations. One is a blue bamboo mural & the other is a strong Nature Landscape!
Do you have a wall that needs a splash of color & texture? Come see me at an art show near you... or sign up for my Private Home Showings! Click here for full article

See a Vessel Unloaded from the Kiln!
If you can't make it to Mount Dora, this February I'll be at a new show in Gulfport, Florida (near St. Petersburg), in downtown Sarasota and then Naples. Here's my schedule. |
Come to Italy with Me!
I'm still working on the dates, but Italy in 2015 is a go. This one-week workshop will combine my love of clay & yoga and it will take place in September, 2015
Both Clay and Yoga are meditations of sorts, in this 7 day workshop I'll provide an intro to light yoga and meditation with a tutorial on hand-building and tile making.
Join me for a week of art, history, presence & travel at La Meridiana International School of Ceramics. Details are here.

Brenda McMahon. I was schooled at Manhattan's Hunter College and received my Master of Arts from SUNY Albany in 1987. Though I grew up in the greater New York City area, it was the quiet of the land and not the city, that captured my heart. My home was a modest brick house squeezed in among others along the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, specifically, Rockaway Beach. My earliest memories are of sand, water and salt air; at night, as I gazed out from the front porch, I saw a shimmering black skyline, not that of Manhattan, but the vast expanse of the moonlit ocean.
