Art Fairs bring me home
Greetings! November is here and I am back in the states after a month-long stay in Italy. My workshop was a wonderful success and my travels a great inspiration. Now I'm getting ready to jump back into art shows. My heart is full of the history, culture and travels of October. Check out my Tuscan Journals to get a flavor for the workshop and its participants. Scroll back to the beginning to see it all. If you want a glimpse of my Italian Travels, start here but also scroll back to see more. Certaldo, Italy

Color Conversations about Black & White
"I've been 40 years discovering that the queen of all colors was black." - Pierre-Auguste Renoir
One can't explore black, without looking at white.
Black is one of the most important colors for how it reflects other colors. It is authoritative & powerful, but for some, can be overwhelming.
Often designers recommend at least ONE black piece in a room, either as a pause or as a meditation. That's because Black creates a sense of mystery & restfulness. WHITE on the other hand, aids mental clarity and enables fresh beginnings.
How can you use black & white in your home as a quiet and intentional moment of silence in an otherwise busy day? Here are some tips on color from New York Designer Gail Green.
Black is Associated with sophistication as in tuxedos, limos
& fashion while White is associated with hope & expectation. Receiving a Black Belt in martial arts infers the beginning of true achievement, understanding & wisdom.
Enjoy your pursuit of black & white.... Brenda
