"Spring" Awake Your Senses!
May is the month when we look forward to summer but are still in the thick of spring. Depending on where you live, the temperatures might still be chilly and the weather volatile. April showers really do bring May flowers, right? However, here in New York City, it is definitely one of the most beautiful times of the year! There are fragrant flowers, sunny skies, and happy people walking around. This is also the time of year when Dr. Yagoda sees the most patients wanting to ready themselves for outside weather!
Seeing as Dr. Yagoda is both an expert ear, nose, and throat doctor as well as a facial plastic surgeon, she is able to rejuvenate and treat a wide range of problems. Perhaps your breathing has been affected by allergies? Or, maybe you aren't in love with how your eyes look a little darker after losing an hour of sleep to daylight saving's time? Read on to find out how Dr. Yagoda can "spring" you senses awake!
1. Touch: Is your skin feeling a little rough after winter? This is a very common problem to have after skin has been repeatedly exposed to frigid temperatures and drying wind. There is a wide range of treatment options available: It could be something as simple as a glycolic peel -- which can be done in your lunch hour with no downtime -- or something a little stronger (like an acid peel!). Additionally, Dr. Yagoda offers fantastic and restorative skin care options that can be used at home. Of course, she personally tests every single product we offer in the office and offers individualized advice.
2. Taste and 3. Smell: Allergies and colds affect how we taste our food. Have you ever held your nose to dull the taste of something you were less than thrilled to eat? It is the same principle. If you have a nasal blockage or severe stuffy nose, not only will it be hard to breathe, but you won't be able to enjoy spring's bounty of delicious fruits and vegetables as well as you should! Dr. Yagoda takes an integrative approach to diagnose and treat allergies, so you will be getting the best care possible. Now you will be able to really smell the roses!
4. Hear: Can you hear the birds chirping? You should! If not, it is time to visit an ear doctor. Ear problems are more common than you think. If you are having trouble hearing, it might just be time to have your ears cleaned. Done as a simple procedure in the office, we promise you will be hearing MUCH better on your way out than on your way in! Or, if you are having aesthetic ear issues, don't worry: Fixing torn earlobes or elongated holes is another simple surgery that can be done in the office. This is good news for earring lovers!
5. See: Finally, as we are sure you know by now, the eyes are the focal point of the face. If you are looking to treat yourself to something this month but just aren't exactly sure what, we recommend an eye rejuvenation. Dr. Yagoda's special Tr-EYE-umph! procedure produces fantastic results, and it can be tailored for your specific aesthetic goals. Sure, it might not literally make you see better -- but it sure will make others see you in a different light!
Let Dr. Michelle Yagoda "spring" you into action this May. Before you know it, it will be summer -- Memorial Day is coming up quickly -- and you will want to look and feel your best. Spring is short -- take full advantage!
