Brother David Vryhof, Society of St. John the Evangelist, will lead this workshop on Saturday, Oct. 5, 9am - 1pm at Charlstrom Parish House.
Saint Francis of Assisi was a man captivated by God. His prayers burn with deep desire for God and with delight in God's creation. The purpose of this retreat is to examine the place of prayer in the life of Saint Francis and to learn to use the prayers he wrote and prayed as a starting point for our own prayer.

Chapel of the Holy Spirit, NOLA, to Celebrate Michaelmas
At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, we will observe and celebrate Michaelmas at The Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
This simple Holy Eucharist will anchor us in the time-honored Anglican tradition that annually weaves learning, liturgy and love in the name of Michael and All Angels. Our regular Sunday night dinner, provided by a parishioner, will follow the service.
We would love for you to join us.
If you plan to stay for supper, something to share would be lovely.
And we all - Episcopal and ELCA Lutheran and Anglican students at Tulane and Loyola and the members of the Congregation of the Chapel - covet your prayers.

Work Day at All Souls Church and Community Center on Friday, September 27
|
Bishop Morris Thompson will lead clergy and laity from the New Orleans area in a Work Day at All Souls Church and Community Center on Friday, September 27. The Work Day is an initiative of Trinity Church, Wall Street, NYC who have been partners and staunch supporters of this new church plant and community center since its inception in 2007.

Exploring Personality in the Spiritual Journey: Nine Panels of Types Speaking for Themselves
A Narrative Tradition Workshop led by Sandra Smith, M.Div., Certified Enneagram Consultant
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 and SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 - 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day St. James Center for Spiritual Formation at 205 N. 4th St. Baton Rogue.
What is my greatest obstacle to my deepest prayer? What stands between me and my experience of the Divine? I do, of course. Which begs the question, "Who am I?"... a foundational theological question.
The Enneagram Personality System names type-specific paths to a compassionate heart, as well as the barriers that each personality encounters on the journey to wholeness. The power of the Enneagram is that it names the fears that bind us and identifies filters of perception that blind us to the love and compassion present in each moment. Get more information here
