CorpusChristiThe Feast of Corpus Christi Solemn High Mass and Procession

The Downtown Deanery extends its heartfelt invitation to all clergy and laity to join us for a special Solemn High Mass and Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi. The Mass will start at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday May 30th at St. Anna's Episcopal Church, 1313 Esplanade Ave. The procession which follows will traverse through the Treme, French Quarter, and Marigny neighborhoods on a ten block jaunt with four prayer stations along the way.

This ancient solemnity finds its roots in the 13th Century and is recognized on the Calendars of The Church of England, several Orthodox Churches, The Roman Catholic Church, and some Lutheran Churches. Children will lead the procession in veil with rose petals. A pot luck lunch will follow. Please, clergy RSVP by email to fr.bill@stannanola.org. Join us for "Church in the streets."
