Living With Purpose
...in the Diocese of Louisiana

There are nine extraordinary young adults working in the Diocese of Louisiana this year doing something a little different. All college graduates who have a heart for service, these young adults commit to a year of living in "intentional community" during which they learn about who they are, what they believe, and how they can serve the world.

Serving in placements ranging from Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans to Kid's Orchestra in Baton Rouge, these young adults work a 40 hour work week as well as complete formation activities in community on a weekly and monthly basis.

Coming to the Diocese of Louisiana from all across the country, as well as from various religious traditions, these young people end their year transformed spiritually, personally, and having the tools to continue in service in the world, and they go on to transform the world in amazing ways. Living With Purpose alumni are serving the world as priests, nurses, teachers, and serve in leadership positions in many non-profits throughout the United States.

Living With Purpose is a ministry of Episcopal Community Services and the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. For more information about Living With Purpose or to make a financial contribution, please visit the Episcopal Community Services website at www.ecsla.org or contact their Program Coordinator, Amelia Arthur, at aarthur@edola.org.
