Choir at Trinity Church in Baton Rouge to Premiere New Choral Work!

Trinity invites everyone to please join them at the 10:45 am service this Sunday, the 28th of April, when the choir, organ, and hand bells will celebrate Elvia Hammett-Parsons's 26th anniversary as organist/choirmaster by premiering a new work by composer Dr. Paul Baker, headmaster of the Episcopal School of Acadiana in Lafayette! The work is very lovely and beautifully showcases their magnificent Casavant pipe organ, our choir, and hand bell choir.

LWP Fellows at their April Workshop Day
Deacon Linda Armstrong presented a workshop on the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator the 1st half of the day, and in the afternoon they discussed the Rule of Benedict in small groups. Below: Lunch!

Youth Summer Mission Experience to Central Texas.
The trip will take place July 7-12, 2013 and will be doing work in communities in Central Texas that have been affected by severe wildfires as well as the recent fertilizer plant explosion. We will be based in Waco and work in several small communities during our mission experience.
Please pass the information along to anyone in your parish or youth community who might be interested in joining youth in grades 7-12 for an incredible week of mission in Central Texas.
