 Things to Do
Aerial Trapeze Academy
As a kid, going to the circus was exciting. Remember the excitement you felt the first time you witnessed the Flying Trapeze and imagined what it must feel like to soar through the air. There is no other feeling quite like it. Book your event, party, or class with the Aerial Trapeze Academy. Run Away with the Circus, Be Home in Time For Dinner!
During your lesson, you will first have a quick ground lesson with a low practice bar. Then they will coach you through their beginner friendly position, called a knee hang. After the knee hang, you will be instructed to do a back-flip dismount into the net. They teach by repetition. You'll have several opportunities to master the skills necessary to succeed. An ATA Staff will give you a visual demonstration of what this all looks like up in the air before you go.
At the end of the class, you will have the opportunity to do a mid-air transfer with a professional catcher. In order to be "ready" for the catch, you must hook your knees in the right timing and take your hands off. If you are not "ready" for the catch. That's no problem, its scary up there! :) They do ask for you to please stay and cheer on the others. They will be taking a group picture at the end of class and its fun for everyone to be involved.
There is a safety device that travels up the ladder with you. All participants are in safety harnesses and safety lines, with a trapeze safety net below. There will be ATA Staff at each station of the trapeze assisting you every step of the way.
- No experience necessary
- Ages 4 and up, fun for the whole family!
- Weather is permitting, if canceled.. classes will be rescheduled at your earliest convenience
- 24-48 Hour Cancellation policy: Fee up to class price.
- FREE on-sight parking and restrooms, located on private property, out in the beautiful acreage of Royal Palm Beach.
- Please bring water to stay hydrated, all circus activities are outdoors.
- All participants must sign our waiver in order to participate, under 18 needs a parent.
- Class lasts 1.5 - 2 hours depending on the class size. Please expect to stay the whole time. We take a class photo at the end that you can get!
- There can be up to 15 people per class.
- Anyone in good general health with a spirit for adventure can learn to fly
- Train Recreational. Great Exercise. Meet new people and have fun.
