This month we feature another Things to Do article about an amazing place we found just around the corner.   For almost 20 years we have driven by horses on Hood Road.  Wandering Trails is the place and it is great fun for everyone.  Be sure to check out other Things to Do on our website to help entertain visiting family and friends.

Things to Do 
Wandering Trails  
 

Established in 1975, Wandering Trails is a family owned and operated equine facility.  The facility consists of approximately 600 acres of pastures and wooded trails designated for the enjoyment of their horses and customers.  They are a laid back facility, taking time to care for their horses and customers to ensure a relaxed environment for all.  They offer the following services: Trail Rides, Lessons, Boarding, After School Program, Leasing, Nature Rides with overnights, and Birthday Parties.

 

Trail Rides

Guided trail rides are available by appointment only and you may walk, jog, and lope the horses through 600 acres of secluded Florida landscape. They will choose a mount and vary the speed of the ride according to your ability.

  • One hour trail ride is $30.00 per person
  • Two hour trail ride is $65.00 per person
We have taken family and friends on trail rides and everyone loves it.  The horses are gentle, the pace is easy and the trail shaded and lovely.  Oh, and you can pose for a group picture on horseback to show all your city slicker friends.
