Sunday morning we begin a three-part series called A Simple Challenge. Pastor Rick's message, Less Is More, is from Mark 4.1-20.

Classes beginning September 9:

Apprentice: Good and Beautiful God
Are you seeking transformation that comes from knowing the real God? In this year-long study you will read, journal, pray, discuss, and participate in weekly spiritual exercises. The course is limited to 20 people. Read more.

Men's Bible Study - Perfectly Imperfect: Character Sketches from the Old Testament -
This study is based on the book by David Busic and explores attributes of godly men. No cost or registration is necessary.

DIG Women's Group: Simplify - The DIG is where women gather to be disciples, intentional, and girlfriends. Books are $12. The class begins September 9. Books may be ordered on The City.

Spiritual Parenting is an 8-week class that will empower parents to be the primary nurturers of their children's faith.

The BFC Choir is hosting New Singers Night on Wednesday evening, August 26, at 6:45 in the Worship Center. This evening is for anyone interested in singing with the choir. No auditions are required. 
 
Maurine Dickerson
has faithfully served as a volunteer in the Church of the Nazarene for many decades, using her library skills around the world. You are invited to a reception honoring Maurine on Sunday afternoon, August 30, at Southern Plaza, from 2 to 4.

The Senior Adult-Sponsored Hot Topic Lunch
is Wednesday, September 2. Special guest Katherine McRae will give an overview of the DHS Aging Services Program. Lunch is $6 in the Chapel at noon. Contact the church office to reserve your spot or RSVP on The City .

An all-church prayer service will be held Wednesday evening, September 2. This one-hour service at 7 will include worship and directed prayer. Nursery and preschool will be available.

BFC's Community Cookout is Sunday evening, September 13, from 6 to 8, at the Floyd Center playground. Invite your friends and neighbors for free food, games, and ice cream. Invitation flyers are available in the literature racks.

If: Pray is a worldwide prayer movement of women. Join us for an evening of guided prayer focusing on the needs of our community, God's people, the Church, and our world, Monday, September 14, at 7 pm, at the Floyd Center.

Children's soccer for ages 5-11 begins August 29. Registration information is available online and in the literature racks.

Men's Softball League begins September 14 and is open to the first eight teams who register by September 4. Team forms are available at bethanynaz.org/softball and at the Family Life Center.

Celebrate Recovery is for anyone, 18 years and older, dealing with a hurt, habit, or hang-up. Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6:30. Celebrate Kids also meets on Tuesday evenings. Information is available in the lobby and online.

The Air1 Positive Hits Tour will be at BFC Friday evening, October 2. Artists include David Crowder, Lauren Daigle, Finding Favor, NF, and 3 For 3. Tickets are $20 and are available at the Reception Desk during normal business hours.
