Thank you...

My first duty as the new leader of the Cherry Creek Arts Festival is to congratulate everyone on another incredible, art filled weekend. It was a perfect way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. With over 350,000 attendees, 260 artists, 30 stage performances, 18 food vendors and hundreds of volunteers, once again the Cherry Creek Art Festival proved why it is one of the best art festivals in the country. There are many to thank for this continued success, our artists, volunteers, sponsors, Cherry Creek North merchants, board of directors, vendors, non-profit partners, security team and most of all you. Without all of your support the festival would not enjoy the success and accolades it continues to receive. I especially want to thank those patrons who took home artwork from one of our amazing artists. Your investment is why the best artists from around the world want to come to the Cherry Creek Art Festival year after year.

I also want to give special recognition to the staff of Cherry Arts and all of our partners that made this a fabulous celebration. This year I served simply as an observer to the choreography that goes into creating such a special event. The biggest thing I got out of my observations was the incredible sense of family created by all of those that bring the festival together. I am honored to be a part of such a tireless, dedicated staff.

I look forward to seeing all of you next year! Be sure to join us for the Cherry Arts Festival at Stanley October 23rd-25th. Keep an eye on the website for more information coming soon.

Artfully yours,

Chris Stevens

Janus Student Art Buying Showcase

On Friday, July 3, title sponsor Janus presented the Student Arts Buying Showcase. Students from select schools had the opportunity to purchase art for their schools and the Mobile Art Gallery, a unique exhibit that travels to schools throughout Colorado. They then showcased the pieces that they chose to the public and answered questions about why they chose each pieces.
