Thank you...
As the dust settles and we take some time to reflect on CCAF 2013, I can't help but think about all of the people who came together to make this year's event such a success, and the list is long. Our board of directors, our staff, the hundreds of volunteers, our sponsors, the Cherry Creek North merchants, the incredibly talented artists, our sponsors, our professional vendors, Cherry Arts 365 members, regional musicians and performing artists, our local non-profit partners, a top notch security team, the City and County of Denver, this year's culinary vendors, and most importantly the 382,000 attendees that spent some of their July 4th weekend with us!
Great crowds, great weather and some quality programming all came together to make this year's event a huge success. I am personally grateful to each and every one of the many people it takes to pull this off. Your support allows us to provide access to the arts and support art education for so many! Save the Date: July 4, 5, 6, 2014...
Sincerely, Terry Adams

47% Waste Diversion: Green Up Cherry Arts SUCCESS!
Below you'll find a quick wrap up of CCAF's " Green Up Cherry Arts" greening efforts as represented though the waste diversion numbers. Thanks for everyone's support of CCAF's Greening Initiatives. Now in its second year, CCAF has teamed up with the "Green Up Denver" initiative to help Denver's summer festivals: CHUN People's Fair, Denver County Fair, and PrideFest.
Total Landfill Material = 9.83 tons
Total Recycling = 8.13 tons Total Compost = .66 tons
= 18.62 tons of total material
47% waste diversion
Interpreting the numbers A 47% waste diversion rate is an 8% increase over last year's 39%, a good improvement in one year. Eliminating almost half of the trash from our festival in only the 2nd year of the program is an accomplishment shared by all of our departments. One number that demonstrates our growing "Leave No Trace (LNT)" ethic is the difference in the landfill weights between 2012 and 2013. In 2012 we landfilled 28,500 lbs of material at CCAF. In 2013, we reduced that number to 19,660 lbs, a difference of almost 9,000 lbs kept out of the landfill in 2013. This can be attributed to asking artists, sponsors and other vendors to "pack it out", an improving culinary partner's sustainable product program, and an overall growing LNT culture within our organization.
Thank you everyone for helping us help waste diversion!

ART-felt thanks from the faces behind the Festival
2013 was an amazing success! We are grateful to everyone for their help. This success enables and strengthens our year-round 501 c3 nonprofit mission to provide access to art experiences and to support art education in Colorado.
Many people worked behind the scenes to bring the 2013 Cherry Creek Arts Festival to life. Pictured here are the staff who led their teams through planning and on-site management (and through rain showers and wind gusts), to make the Festival a success this year.
