Business Development Strategies Celebrates Ten Years.
 |
Lynn Tokarczyk
|
Ten years after launching Business Development Strategies, Inc. (BDS) Tokarczyk has earned the reputation of leading government incentives consultant in Massachusetts and a key player in expanding the state economy by helping growing companies add jobs (10,000 retained, 5,000 created), invest private capital ($700 million in investments) and infuse cash into local cities and towns.
The story is made more remarkable by the fact that Tokarczyk began her career in retail as proprietor of an upscale women's apparel shop in Wayland before finding her true calling in trying to "improve the economic climate in Massachusetts."

From The President
The Doctor Is In
The medical industry is proliferating here in the Neponset Valley as evidenced by several new businesses that have joined the Chamber of late; Care Central in Stoughton (urgent care), Doctors Express in Dedham (urgent care), HopeHealth (hospice), New England Baptist Hospital (opening an orthopedic center in Dedham) just to name a few. At the same time, we just celebrated the grand opening of Dedham Medical Associates shiny new facility on Route 1 South in Norwood. DMA nearly doubled their space and have added new care offerings as well.
Meanwhile up at Patriot Place, Brigham & Women's Mass General Health is filling up another floor of its state-of-the-art facility in order to accommodate increased demand. Further north in Dedham, Shields MRI is putting the finishing touches on a 66,000 square foot new diagnostic facility next to the Hilton Dedham.
 | Dedham Medical celebrates its new location in Norwood |
Norwood Hospital is working its way through the planning process that would allow it to add a fourth floor to the Lorusso Building and construct a medical office building along with expanded parking facilities. As part of its outreach, Norwood Hospital will hold a "town meeting" styled community conversation with President, Emily Holliman on Tuesday, June 11th at 6:00 pm at Norwood High School. The meeting will be emceed by Mary Richardson former host of WCVB's Chronicle and currently Community Liaison for Steward Health Care. Additional details are in the Member News section to the left.

Living so close to Boston has always had the advantage of being on the edge of the world's best medical care. Today that care is creeping into the suburbs, chief among them those of the...Read more

Advertise with the Chamber

Chamber of commerce websites are frequently sought out when potential customers are looking for products and services in a local area. In fact, a 2007 study (by the Schapiro group) showed that when potential customers know that a small business is a member of the chamber of commerce, they are 44% more likely to think favorably of it, and 63% more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future. Chamber credibility is important and it positively enhances click through rates.
For the past four years, online local ad sales had a compound growth rate of 48 percent and are projected to reach $13.9 Billion in 2009 (+7.5%). At the same time, other forms of advertising are projected to decline 1.4%. Advertising continues to shift away from other media and more toward online opportunities because it is cost effective, measurable, flexible, targeted, and most importantly - it works!
Don't delay, contact Cristoff more more information and affordable rates to fit any budget at Cristoff@nvcc.com, or 781-769-1126. |
