New Children's Books

This year we are pleasantly surprised to find more than the usual handful of new children's books to recommend. There continues to be a critical scarcity of good children's books by and about people of color, so we are happy to shine a light on these books that challenge the norm.
2015 Children's Africana Book Award Ceremony 

Africa Access and the Outreach Council of the African Studies Association have announced the 2015 Children's Africana Book Award winning title. The selection is The Red Pencil by Andrea Pinkney and Shane Evans.
