Welcome Church Family to eHomily!

eHomily  by Pastor Ron...

  Pastor Ron Harvey

Joseph Hayden, sacred composer, was once asked why his music had such a glad ring to them.  He explained, "I cannot compose anything without it for I translate into music the state of my very heart.  When I think of the grace of God in Jesus Christ my heart is so full of joy that the notes easily dance and leap from my pen."

Learn this: What we think of Him will be evident by the way we sing our songs and hymns!

When the psalmist realized God's deliverance he gave testimony and praise with these words: "He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.  He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God" (Psalm 40:2-3).

Salvation and singing go together naturally.  We must never lose a sense of the blessings of our salvation or the presence of joyful worship because of our salvation.  He is worthy of such praise-even on difficult days.  He is truly to be honored in trying times and in triumphant times.  God is good to us in all times.  There will always be reasons for which to offer praise to our God when we think of "the grace of God in Jesus Christ."

When we do give joyful praise of God's gracious salvation, it is as the psalmist said, "Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord" (Psalm 40:3).   May such praise be a witness to those around us who need a Savior and an offering to our Lord who is over us and has given us all we need in Salvation!

See you in worship tomorrow...
