I read a missionary testimony from Africa about a Muslim who became a Christian and many of his friends, along with family members, asked why he had done such a thing.  His response was always the same: "Suppose you were going down a road and suddenly the road forked in two directions.  You didn't know which way to go and, yet, there were two men-one dead and the other alive-at this juncture.  Which one would you ask to show you the way?"

 

Jesus was not simply a religious teacher with many wise sayings as others have been.  Jesus is the Savior who gave credence to His teachings by the prophecies He fulfilled, the miracles He performed, the life He displayed, the love He conveyed, the sacrifice He laid-down, the resurrection He achieved, and the lives He transformed. When Jesus speaks, He does so with authority and authenticity.  That is why we listen when He says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). 

 

As for me, I am going to follow the One who beat death and is alive forevermore!  This is the One to show me the way...
