Have you ever felt that God could not use you for some reason?  Think again.  Remember ones God has used in times past even though it did not seem possible at the time.  Consider the following-

 

Noah had a drinking problem.

Abraham was too old.

Isaac was naïve and gullible.

Jacob was a cheat and a liar.

Leah was not real pretty.

Joseph was abused.

Moses had a speech impediment.

Gideon was afraid.

Sampson had a problem with the women.

Rahab was a prostitute.

David had an affair.

Elijah was suicidal.

Isaiah preached naked.

Jeremiah was emotional.

Jonah ran from God.

Naomi was a grieving widow.

Job went bankrupt.

John the Baptist had grooming problems and dietary peculiarities.

Peter had issues with follow-thru and was in denial (at least 3 times).

The disciples fell asleep while praying.

Martha worried about everything.

The Samaritan woman was divorced multiple times.

Zacchaeus was a cheat working for the IRS.

James and John (Sons of thunder) had a temper.

John Mark was immature and unreliable.

Thomas has some serious trust issues.

Timothy had an ulcer problem.

Paul persecuted Christians and had a really bad reputation in the church.

 

So the next time you feel sorry for yourself and come up with some excuse why you cannot be of service to God-remember those before you who were of great use in the Kingdom of God.  Learn from them that we serve a God of second chances-
